Getting This Blog Up To Date

Actually started about 10 days ago, but didn't decide to do a blog until this past weekend.  First thing to go up was the silt fence.

We had the silt fence up for a couple of days before the destruction and digging began last week.   First to go was the front stoop and then the digging began both outside and in.

Those 2 holes in the inside are supposed to be 12" footers for 2 posts that will hold the 2nd story up.  They ended up being 4 foot footers due to poor soil. 

They poured the footers for the foyer late last week and prepped to pour the porch, sidewalk, and inside footers yesterday (Aug 16).

 

 

 

Tuesday, August 17

The concrete for the porch, sidewalk, and inside footers was poured today.  Small owner change to add some curves to the walkway.

That brings you up to speed.  No work is planned for tomorrow as we are expecting torrential rainfall.  They plan to take the edges of the roof off on Thursday and start sliding in the floor joists.  I'm looking forward to seeing that.
