The crew started removing the roof last Thursday, August 26. Lots of noise and very little damage...
except for the bathroom. I think someone dropped something. Also a hanging picture fell to the floor. I have no idea why we didn't remove all the pictures from the walls beforehand.
Taking the roof off left quite a mess, but they did a real good job cleaning up afterwards.
What made you decide to remove the roof that only had little damage? I think you should’ve just removed the damaged part. But if you’re going to have an overall remodeling of your house, I think that is the right decision.

It might happen that something fell there to make that hole and I hope that was repaired already. I can see that there might be a little damage, but it can make the ceiling a lot more prone to future damage. I’ve read your blog and it’s fun to see the improvements of your project. It’s 2013 now, and I hope you and your family are already enjoying the house. :)

Looks like you found a good contractor to replace your roof. They did not only do a great job on replacing the roof, but they also made sure that all the mess from the roof were cleaned. I’ve seen some of the roofers who just leave the debris of old roof on the yard of the homeowners. It’s not a very good service. As a roofer, it is part of your service to clean whatever mess you cause from peeling off the old roof. Lucky you found a reliable and skilled roofer. ->Tedrick’s Roofing
